    PM appeals to President not to veto early retirement bill Prime Minister Donald Tusk has appealed to President Lech Kaczynski not to veto the early retirement bill, passed by the Lower House late Thursday.

    Speaking in Parliament yesterday evening the Premier said he believes the President will help the government and refrain from vetoing. Donald Tusk added he is ready to beg the president on his knees if necessary.

    30th anniversary of MONAR Today marks the 30th anniversary of setting up of MONAR, a special association established to help young people in their fight with drug addiction, and later expanded into a centre to help the homeless.

    MONAR was the idea of Marek Kotanski, a psychologist and therapist who devoted his life to helping drug addicts and alcoholics.
